Jellyfin is a fully open-source media centre for films, TV series, music and photos. The software automatically organises your collection with cover art and metadata and streams it to virtually any device – there are apps for Apple TV, Android TV, smartphones, tablets and web browsers. Unlike Plex or Emby, Jellyfin does not charge any licence or premium fees and does not send usage data to a manufacturer. Jellyfin also handles live TV and recordings, and thanks to hardware acceleration during transcoding, streams run smoothly even when end devices require different formats.
