Scanned letters, invoices and contracts are automatically converted into text using OCR, tagged with keywords and filed according to correspondent, document type and date. Instead of leafing through ring binders, you can find any document in seconds using full-text search. The workflow is deliberately simple: documents are fed into the system via a scanner connection, an email inbox or a file upload. Paperless-ngx recognises the content, suggests tags and sorts the documents automatically. PDFs, images and Office documents are supported; the OCR processes German, French, Italian and English.
